Social Distortion New Music Album "Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes" Release

London, UK, Oct 26, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio / Contactmusic) Rock 'n' roll icons Social Distortion have officially announced the release of their long awaited, highly anticipated new studio album, Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes, which is set for January 17. A follow-up to their acclaimed album Sex, Love and Rock 'n' Roll, Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes is the band's seventh studio album and first release in over six years. Fans are invited to download the first single, "Machine Gun Blues," via iTunes on November 8.

Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes builds on singer Mike Ness' twin footings, one in the haunted American landscapes of Hank Williams and the other in the raw swagger of Exile-era Rolling Stones. While these twin pillars have always been behind Social Distortion's anthemic songs, on Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes they come roaring to the fore, in one of the hardest rocking, most soulful, albums of Ness' career.

Idaho Company Saving Small Town America with Capra-like film

Council, Idaho, October 21, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio / Vocus) Every good recession must come to an end. That’s the motto of an Idaho film company as they launch a campaign to turn the country around, one small town at a time.

“We’ve all been sitting around waiting for someone to fix America,” said Jericho manager Arnold Ytreeide. “We’ve had a tough decade since 9/11, and we just want someone to make the horrors of that day, and two wars, and natural and man-made disasters, and the problems with the economy go away. But that someone is us!” Tired of waiting for a solution, Ytreeide, with his wife and partner, Elsie, is trying to do something about it. That “something” is a somewhat quirky plan that involves a somewhat quirky movie in a town the size of a 1980’s phone booth.
