New Movie Film Release Promo Review

Aayirathil Oruvan (Tamil, 2010) Releasing Pongal | Trailer

Ayirathil Oruvan Poster

Billed as an adventure thriller, the movie is about a journey to an unexplored world - an island like the one King Kong was grabbed from, inhabited by an indigenous native tribe with a culture having the usual number of secrets for such tribes in movies, including an Easter-island like astronomical construction. Snakes, Halloween-type moonrises, and of course sex contribute to the film. Going by the trailer, Aayirathil Oruvan is likely to be a visual feast, with shades from The Mummy, Indiana Jones, King Kong, The Scorpion King, and everything of such nature finding a place in the film.

Bangladesh vs India Football (Soccer) Match in Jaago (2009) Bengali Movie with music by Arnob

Jaago 2009 Bengali Movie Poster

Shot on locations in Dhaka and Cox Bazar, Bangladesh, Jaago is a movie sure to appeal to soccer fans on both sides of the Bengal border. With a tag-line of "Dare to Dream", Jago pits the Azad Boys soccer team from Comilla against the powerful Indian football team from the state of Tripura, India. According to the reports, there are two matches in the film. It is probably not hard to guess that the Azad Boys will lose the first, and come back and beat the crap out of the Tripura team in the second match.

Rann (2010) - India's Turn at the Battle of Journalism vs Ratings Crazy Media

Rann (2010) Poster

A fast globalizing India is apparently going through the same questions that our beloved United States has gone through many decades ago - the role and trustworthiness of a out-of-control greedy media in search of ratings, going ballistic with scant regard to journalism. The Hindi blockbuster "PAA" has recently also alluded to this problem that every advancing nation has to get over. As the Indian audience matures, in a few decades, perhaps prime-time TV will have the same respect and seriousness as in the United States now - a vast majority of the population will learn the hard way what is news and what is not. What India is missing still is some kind of a National Public Radio, distinct from the government controlled All India Radio which is struggling to find relevance.

Dibakar Banerjee's Love Sex Aur Dhokha (2010) Hindi Movie

Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2010 PosterDirected by Dibakar Banerjee, Bollywood Hindi film Love Sex Aur Dhoka (loosely translates into Love Sex and Betrayal) promises to be a interesting departure from mainstream Indian commercial cinema, insofar as based on the official synopsis posted at Facebook, the film is perhaps a collage of amateur and professional handy-cam shots, security camera footage and such. This concept has been tried before, most famously in the Hollywood horror blockbuster The Blair Witch Project (1999) that was largely shot with handy-cams in our neighboring Seneca State Park a few miles from Rockville, MD. It remains to be seen how the film performs commercially in a country that is notoriously immature when it comes to expectations from a Bollywood flick - a fact amply demonstrated by a film like Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani (2009) inexplicably making decent money at the box-office.

Rajeshwari is married to Vinay (Ayub Khan) a bank cashier for the last 7 years. She has two adorable children Geet and Suraj 6 and 4 respectively. She has always been the driving force in the family and her dream is to get her sister Nisha married to the most suitable boy within their Saxena community.
