BRAHMAKHYAPA, the popular baul band organized a gala evening packed with
baul songs on May 22, 2010 at Gyan Manch from 6 PM to 9 PM where
eminent baul singers performed along with a guest performance by eminent
city band CHANDRABINDOO.  Artist SHUVAPRASANNA felicitated great baul
exponent SUBOL DAS BAUL for his contribution to the Baul music and
philosophy for 50 long years. The evening turned out to be a complete
extravaganza of baul tradition and deliberation. Apart from baul
followers, enthusiasts and music lovers, artists from all spheres were
present to grace the occasion.

May 16, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio) Sahaj Ma and Utpal Faqir are an upcoming and popular Bengali Baul and folk song duo. Their debut album "Folktail" featured the superhit song "Allah Meherban" which made the MTV India's Bengali Top-10 list - a first for any Baul song, such was it's popularity.

Naresh Thakur is a renowned and well known Baul living in Bangladesh. He has been singing for over twenty years. He has a son and a daughter, and travels across the length and breadth of Bangladesh in true Baul fashion. He has performed internationally on invitation, including in London and the USA. This time (Jan 10, 2010) he was visiting India - the famous Shaktigar Baul Fakir Utsav Festival. Naresh Thakur's primary influence is Baul Shah Abdul Karim (শাহ আবদুল করিম, 1916 - 2009) - one of the most famous legends of Bangladeshi folk music.

Naresh Thakur Baul sings a Dehatatwa song. He also sings a song by Shah Abdul Karim Baul.
