Noted journalist Rhitobrata Bhattacharya turns film director with “Basanta Utsab”. True to it's title, the film is set around the festival of Holi as celebrated in Santiniketan. The film comprises of five stories that run in parallel.

On Saturday 30 March 2013, the inauguration of Biborton Boutiques’ 4th outlet, a fashion shop with a promise to promote young creative designers, was held at Wari in the capital of Bangladesh with its exclusive collection of dresses for women and children.

The outlet was officially inaugurated by eminent model and actress Shokh and the ceremony was held at Ihsan Plaza (Ground Floor), 30/1, Rankin Street at 4:00 pm.

Runa Mustafa, Proprietor of Biborton Boutiques was present at the ceremony besides media and showbiz celebrities and social dignitaries.

Writer-Director Ranjay Ray Chowdhury

Ranjay Ray Chowdhury will be soon making an entry in Tollywood with his debut film “The Play”. The dubbing of the mystery murder Bengali thriller film is in progress at a studio located in Ballygunje Place in Kolkata. Present at the dubbing was Anindya Chatterjee, Sampurna Lahiri, Indrasish Roy and the writer-director of the film Ranjay Ray Chowdhury.

The truly colorful “Colours of Life” fashion, music and dance extravaganza was organized by Trisangam at Nazrul Manch on the 29th of March, sponsored by ONE. The three primary goals were to wish all in advance a prosperous Bengali new year, to celebrate the success of Queen of Bengal fashion show and beauty pageant, and to celebrate the colors of Holi. This event featured dance, music and fashion show with the contestants of the Queen of Bengal walking the ramp. An exclusive photo-feature on WBRi.

Aparna Sen also said, “This has been my dream project and I have been planning to make this film for the past ten years. However due to one problem or the other, the project got delayed. I told Sohag about my plan to make this film at a restaurant in Mumbai. After completing each film, I would bring this topic up. However I have now understood that everything has a right time”.
